Portrait of Julia Judge, LMSW

Julia Judge

LMSW(she/her)

I believe that therapy is a singular space where you receive a careful kind of listening and the possibility of hearing your desires clearly, often for the first time. Together, we will be curious about your emotions, relationships, and history, seeking to shed new light on areas that may feel frightening, mysterious, or stagnant.

I have worked with people of diverse backgrounds and am attuned to the role oppression plays in my patients' lives. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I enjoy working with creatives, those undergoing life transitions, and people seeking to understand intergenerational sources of suffering.

My style is warm and nonjudgmental. I am guided by the belief that each person contains inherent strengths and knowledge, and that a primary goal of therapy is to help you access these.

I am a candidate in adult psychoanalysis at the Contemporary Freudian Society. I have received training in EFT, an attachment-focused modality for couples. I also hold a Bachelors in Literary Studies from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School. Previously, I worked for many years in book publishing and the arts.

To schedule a free phone consultation, contact me by e-mail or phone. I look forward to meeting you.
